Before Sunrise

KDR x Faena Art Project Room

3420 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL.

January 15th

KDR is thrilled to announce a special pop-up exhibition at 3420 Collins Avenue in collaboration with Faena Art Project Room. “Before Sunrise" channels Magnus Sodamin's profound connection to the Florida Bay and the untamed wilderness of the Everg"lades. These paintings are intimate reflections of moments spent chasing the dawn, enveloped by the ephemeral beauty of fleeting light and the movement of passing wildlife.

Each piece captures the essence of Florida’s natural splendor, translating its delicate interplay of light and shadow onto the canvas. His works evoke still lifes of conch shells and cascading forms, illuminated by the fading glow of twilight. These paintings are more than representations; they are meditations on place, memory, and the vibrant fragility of the Floridian landscape.

Through Before Sunrise, Magnus celebrates the Everglades’ raw beauty while inviting viewers to contemplate their own connection to this endangered ecosystem. His art becomes a bridge between the tangible and the transcendent, a homage to the wilderness that defines Florida as home.
